Douglas M Cook, Jr. was born in Florida and spent his teen years in East Tennessee. Doug married his best friend, Deborah Michelle Gouge, from Newport News, VA in 1983 and joined the US Army shortly afterwards. After serving his country for six years, Doug received an honorable discharge and attended Trinity Baptist College where he earned a BA in Church ministries. Presently, he is working through Light University and the American Association of Christian Counselors on a PTSD and Trauma Counseling Program specialized for our US Military.
Doug & Michelle have been married for 34 years, have six children and four grandchildren. They have served together in the ministry for 24 years. Doug is a College Football fan and enjoys fishing and southern style cooking (especially if Michelle is making her homemade biscuits). Michelle is a Washington Redskins fan and enjoys cooking, music and playing the piano.
